After nearly two decades, Cheetos has brought back a beloved flavor just in time for Super Bowl season. Introducing the Cheese Pizza Cheetos Puffs - they look like your typical Cheese Puff, but with a twist. Check out the pictures below to see for yourself, or better yet, grab a bag and find out!
Should You Try It?
I gave them a shot, so you don't have to. Or maybe you'll be compelled to.
Where To Buy:
First off, these are not exclusive items. You can get them at most major retailers that carry groceries or snack-based goods in the Cheetos Puffs realm. Save your quarters if you want this snack, you'll be spending around $5 or $6 for these puffs. The snacks are available in grocery stores nationwide and online.
I purchased my Cheese Pizza Cheetos Puffs at Frys Marketplace.
Taste and Texture
Let's talk about the ingredients first - Red 40 isn't my top choice, but these puffs melt in your mouth just like the originals. They carry the familiar cheese taste with an added hint of pizza, or should I say, pizza box? You get notes of basil, tomato, and a dash of oregano, making for a true pizza crisp. An article I read describes this snack well: "The chips are meant to combine flavors of cheese, tomato, oregano, and Italian seasoning in each puff." Read the full article here.
Numerical Review
Many reviewers have given these a high score, and it's easy to see why - they're addictive, tasty, and have that melt-in-your-mouth quality. However, the Red 40 dye and the subtlety of the pizza flavor knocked it down for me. It's not bad, just not as punchy as Pizza Pringles or the much-loved Pizza Combos.

This gives me an overall score of about 7, or maybe a 7.5 if I'm feeling generous.
